Delta Youth Parliament: Ministry Announces Interview, Screening Dates for Second Assembly

The Delta State Ministry of Youth Development has announced the commencement of the interview and screening exercise for applicants selected for the Second Assembly of the Delta State Youth Parliament, urging all invited candidates to adhere strictly to the schedule and requirements contained in their invitation notices.

The Ministry, in a statement announcing the exercise, directed all applicants who participated in the selection process to check the email addresses they used during the application to ascertain whether they have been shortlisted for the interview and screening.

According to the Ministry, the exercise has been structured into two days to accommodate applicants from the three senatorial districts of the state.

The first phase, scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, is exclusively for applicants from Delta North Senatorial District.

The interview will take place at Cluster D, Ground Floor, Prof. Chike Edozie Secretariat, Asaba, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The second phase is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, for applicants from Delta Central and Delta South Senatorial Districts.

The exercise for the two senatorial districts will be held at the Delta State Government House Annex, Warri, also commencing at 11:00 a.m.

The Ministry further directed all invited applicants to appear at their respective venues with the originals and photocopies of specified documents for verification.

The required documents include a Birth Certificate or Age Declaration, academic qualifications, and Local Government of Origin Certificate.

Applicants are also expected to come along with writing materials for the exercise.

The Ministry advised candidates to properly arrange their documents before arriving at the screening centres to facilitate smooth verification and conduct of the exercise.

The Second Assembly of the Delta State Youth Parliament is expected to provide another platform for young people in the state to deepen their understanding of legislative processes, civic responsibilities, democratic participation and youth leadership.

The Ministry of Youth Development reiterated its commitment to fostering youth leadership, civic participation and democratic engagement across Delta State, while appreciating the interest and participation of young people in the selection process.

Selected applicants have therefore been advised to carefully study their invitation details and ensure punctual attendance at their designated venues.
